Top 5 Cafes in OUG You Should Definitely Give A Shot

By 16:03

Hello all! It’s only the first month of January but I’ve realised that my café-hopping quota is quite full. So I thought I could blog about it ;P

Without further ado, here is my take on the 5 cafés that have become favourites of mine.

1. The Hub
No. 61, Jalan Hujan Rahmat,
Taman Overseas Union.
Tel: 012-808 8834
Business Hours:  Mon-Wed (9am-6:30pm); Fri-Sun(9am-10:30pm); Closed on Thursdays

If you love coffee, this is definitely the coffee specialty place to taste the different blends of coffee. There’s a bean roasting machine sitting placed prominently at the entrance.

Serving an interesting range of coffees – medium roast to dark roast from various countries- , there is a wide selection that would surely delight any caffeine addict.

Plus, check out The Hub’s skylight. It’s definitely an Insta-worthy setting for customers to take café photos.

2. The Hound

Taman Overseas Union.
Tel: 03-7971 2144
Business Hours:  11am-8pm daily

Dog lovers, this is the ideal place for you to enjoy a nice cup of coffee AND hang-out alongside a super cute beagle. This lovely café is dog-friendly so you may bring your canine pet provided they’re well-behaved XD

Meet Cookie, she’s amazing!

Moving on to the food (lol), there’s plenty of yummy cake choices to choose from. Such sweet treats that go nicely with the coffee served here.

Laid-back with an arty ambience, this is a café that delivers coffee, art and music in generous doses. You can find plenty of ‘door-sy’ décor which gels well with its naming haha.

Try the signature Dream coffee: star-shaped ice cubes + iced coffee + Gula Melaka + milk. It’s served DIY-style so you can add the ingredients as you like.

The café also serves Japanese rice bowls. The Crispy Pork Lard Rice Bowl comes highly recommended.
