Jen's Brick Story

The story as told by Jen

SORRY I’VE BEEN M.I.A. FOR SO LONG (lol)

By 10:48

Hey there readers! I’m so sorry for not updating my blog.😉

Life has been catching up on me (work, taking care of my family, going on holiday, you get the drift right), and right now I think I caught a flu bug from my youngest so basically this will just be a short post.

There’s a saying ‘when it rains, it pours’ and I can definitely relate to that right now. On top of being sick and being a busy mom of 2 young kids, my car decided to throw a tantrum and now it’s at the mechanic getting repaired. Yikes!💢

On a brighter note, I’ve discovered the real convenience of using public transport to get around. As you know, I’m living at Parklane OUG. The Muhibbah LRT station is the nearest station to my place and I’ve been commuting daily – using the Sri Petaling Line.

Thanks to the upgrading works, I can easily travel between the Sentul Timur and Putra Heights stations. You can check out the official Prasarana Malaysia website here: https://www.myrapid.com.my/traveling-with-us/how-to-travel-with-us/rapid-kl/monorail-and-lrts

By the way, did you know you should change your MyRapid card to the new MyRapid TnG card? After 15 July 2017, the MyRapid card will no longer be valid so hurry up folks and migrate your card before it’s too late!  Here’s a useful link: https://www.myrapid.com.my/fares-and-payments/change-your-myrapid-card (Tons of FAQ that answers any doubts you may have)

Anyway, back to my experience taking public transport. So, there’s the usual crowd and it can get a little packed (like a can of sardines during peak hours!) during the working day but all in all, taking the LRT and KTM isn’t all that bad. In fact, it’s a really cheap and convenient way to travel. I’ve saved quite a bit on petrol money haha.
